Does Stripe not already retry failed payments?+
It does, and you should keep Smart Retries on. But Stripe documents nine decline codes it won't retry automatically (lost or stolen card, authentication required, and others): those invoices only get paid once the customer adds a new payment method. Someone has to ask them, clearly and in your brand. SaveMyMRR does that, and adds its own retries only where a retry can work.
Can it stop a payment from failing in the first place?+
For expired cards, yes. The scan lists live subscriptions whose card expires before their next renewal, with the MRR at risk. On Pro, each of those customers gets one short email about a week before the renewal, with a button to your billing page. Stripe's card updater already refreshes some cards on its own; this covers the rest.
What exactly can the Stripe key do?+
Our pre-filled link creates a restricted key with six permissions: write on Invoices (to retry an invoice with invoices.pay) and read-only on charges, customers, subscriptions, events and payment intents. It cannot refund, pay out, create new charges or see card numbers. You can revoke it in Stripe at any time.
Do I need an account to buy?+
No. Run the scan, pick an offer, give an email: we send the access link there. There is no password to remember; each sign-in is a fresh link by email.
What's the difference between the Recovery sweep and Pro?+
The sweep is a single $49 payment: every invoice stuck at the time of purchase is chased for 30 days, then it stops. Pro also handles every future failed payment, as long as you subscribe ($29/month, or $290/year).
Who sends the emails, and from which address?+
They go out under your brand name (the sender name you set) with your reply-to address, so answers land in your inbox. The sending address is SaveMyMRR's, which is verified (SPF, DKIM, DMARC); a custom sending domain isn't offered yet.
Can I stop it?+
Yes: stop a single invoice from the dashboard, pause an account, or cancel the subscription in one click from the Stripe billing portal. A cancelled subscription stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
What happens to my key if I don't buy?+
It stays encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and is erased 14 days after the scan. The free scan only reads; it never writes to your Stripe account and never contacts your customers.
